Eligible for participation are all thesis works officially submitted to the supervising university, college, or research institution within one year prior to the submission deadline.

Submissions can be made in German or English.

By participating in the BEST Award, you certify that you have authored the submitted documents yourself and without any external assistance. You agree to personally present your work during the award ceremony.

Furthermore, you consent to the internal storage and processing of your participant data and acknowledge that they may be accessed during the presentation of the awarded works. The data will be used solely for the processing of your submission and for public relations purposes of the BEST Foundation, and will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes.

All personal information will be processed and stored confidentially in accordance with the University of Cologne's data protection policy. After the process is concluded, your personal data will be deleted within a maximum of 6 months if your application is not considered.

Legal recourse is excluded.
